ABRASION SCULPTURE

Year: 2023

Material: Steel Plate, Hard Ground, Spray paint, Acrylic sheets, Welding, Araldite glue.

This interactive sculpture encourages viewers to interact by evidence. Each time someone interacts with the piece it scratches and changes colour from black to orange, the more interactions the more changes in appearance. Inspired by natural movements such as tilting and rolling stimulated by a viewer.

I created an aluminium metal ball to scratch the hard ground ink off and discover the vibrant tangerine orange spray paint.
